Get to know the first grade teachers...
Moria De La O:
My name is Moria De La O. This is my fifth year with Topanga and my tenth year with the district. I've taught kinder, first, and second grade and am teaching first grade this year. I have many interests outside of school (many of which I bring into the classroom, when appropriate).
I love reading, writing, art, photography, animals, musicals, travel, and spending time with my husband, friends and family, all of which I intertwine, and all of which encompassed my summer at home in West L.A., as well as, in Las Vegas, San Diego, London, and Wales!!
Jen Hoffman:
This is my fifth year teaching at Topanga Elementary and I absolutely love it! I am currently going back to school for my Master’s Degree in Education. If you see me rush out of the classroom on Thursdays it is not because I don’t love you but because I am trying to get to class on time!
Outside of school, my friends and family are the most important people in my life. I have a loving husband of 3 years who means the world to me. We enjoy cooking at home together, playing board games, and watching movies. We recently bought a townhouse in Woodland hills that is a wonderful place to call home.
